A perennial herb with aromatic grey-green leaves suitable for growing in pots or in garden beds as a ground cover or border. Small pink-white flowers appear in summer followed by tiny light brown seeds.

Grow Tip Cultivate well drained soil before planting. Trim back after flowering. Tolerates periods of dryness. Marjoram does not like wet feet. Plant in well drained soil.
Uses Has a sweeter flavour than oregano. Use in meat, vegetable, tomato dishes and in 'Bouquet Garni'. Tea may help to aid digestion and coughs.
