Commitment to Sustainability
Oasis Horticulture is dedicated to sustainability in every aspect of its operations and is always looking for innovative ways to further reduce reliance on plastics.
Since 2019, the company has prioritised the use of recycle-friendly materials in its punnets, trays, and labels to reduce plastic waste and minimise landfill.
Efforts include redesigning labels to use less plastic, replacing P6 plastics with P5, and increasing the use of recycled plastics.
To lower its carbon footprint, over 80% of plant movements at the Springwood and Cranbourne sites now rely on electric vehicles, significantly reducing emissions.
The company has also transitioned to ethically sourced wood fibre substrate made from Victorian softwood chips, supporting sustainable forestry and improving environmental outcomes by reducing the need for harmful treatments.
These initiatives demonstrate Oasis Horticulture's commitment to sustainable production and a healthier planet for future generations.
