Baked Kale Chips

Serves 4 as a snack.

A crispy, easy, and healthy snack for the whole family, that uses up bunches of your home-grown harvest.

Ingredients 

  •  6-7 large stems of kale (any type)
  •  2 tsp Olive oil
  •  Salt to taste
  •  Garlic powder to taste

Method 

Step 1: Preheat oven to 150°C.
Step 2: Wash kale leaves well, and dry thoroughly. Remove the stems and cut the leaves into bite sized pieces.
Step 3: Place leaves onto a baking sheet and arrange into one layer so they bake evenly.
Step 4: Drizzle the oil over the kale and ensure it gets into every fold and crinkle – use your hands if needed.
Step 5: Sprinkle over salt and garlic to your personal taste and bake for 10 minutes.
Step 6: Remove and turn any chips that are starting to crisp up and bake for another 10 minutes.
Step 7: Serve with an extra sprinkle of salt if desired.

For extra crispy chips, let them stand on the hot pan for 5 minutes before serving.
